4 persons arrested for murder, robbery

The police today claimed to have arrested four persons, including a sharp shooter, for allegedly killing a Gurgaon-based property dealer and committing over 50 robberies in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The accused have been identified as Deepak, Bijender, Ashok and Harinder. They were arrested on Wednesday from Ghata village here following a tip-off. They were coming in a car carrying illegal arms, police said.


"A semi automatic rifle, shotgun, two country-made pistols and 56 cartridges were seized from their possession," Gurgaon Police Commissioner Sandeep Khairwar said.

During interrogation, Deepak, a sharp shooter, confessed that on July 25, he along with other gang members shot dead a property dealer in Medhawas village over old enmity, police added.
