Himatsingka Seide net profit up 12% in Q1 at Rs 51 cr

Textiles firm today reported a 11.64 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June to Rs 50.63 crore, as against Rs 45.35 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's total rose to Rs 538.77 crore during the April-June quarter, from Rs 482.92 crore in the corresponding period of last year.


However, its total expenses also increased to Rs 468.84 crore during the quarter under review, as against Rs 426.97 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.

The company's scrip closed at Rs 293.95, down 7.18 per cent from its previous close on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
