Gujarat: The Congress on Wednesday announced to expel six more party MLAs from Gujarat.

The grand old party will be ousting its leaders for violation of its whip in the Rajya Sabha polls in Gujarat.

"Six more Gujarat Congress MLAs to be expelled from the party for violation of the whip in Rajya Sabha polls," Congress Gujarat chief Ashok Ghelot told ANI.

With these six MLAs being sacked the count will rise to 14.

After senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel won the Rajya Sabha elections, the party on Wednesday expelled eight of its MLAs, including former Chief Minister Shankersinh Vaghela, for six years for violation of its whip.

All the eight MLAs are considered close to Vaghela.
