A few participants of the Maratha Kranti Morcha were admitted to hospitals on Wednesday while thousands were treated for nausea and dehydration at health posts set up on the route of the rally.
Dr. T.P. Lahane, dean of JJ group of hospitals, said, “Twenty two patients were brought to St. George Hospital but only five needed admission. Eleven were brought to GT Hospital and three were taken to JJ Hospital. Other patients were discharged. Most of them were suffering from dehydration.” About 23,00 people were treated at the health post at CST, while 1,593 were treated at the health post at Azad Maidan.
