Wheat prices were marginally up by 0.30 per cent to Rs 1,659 per quintal in futures trade today on speculative buying.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in September rose by Rs 5, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 1,659 per quintal, with an open interest of 14,630 lots.
Likewise, the wheat for delivery in August was enquired higher by Rs 3, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 1,634 per quintal in 6,870 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in wheat futures to speculative buying.
