The commerce ministry's Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) is meeting all the regional authorities to address issues related to the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The ministry in a statement said that the DGFT is also taking inputs on the mid-term review of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), which is scheduled to be announced in September, to enhance export.
The two-day meeting will conclude tomorrow.
Regional Authorities, which are interacting with exporters would provide suggestions on GST and FTP, it said.
"These include measures for boosting employment generation, continued capacity building of export oriented Medium and Small Enterprises and various concerns of exporters while importing raw materials under the GST regime," it added.
