Uncharitable remark against Naidu exposes his true nature: Vasupalli

TDP urban district president and Visakha South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar on Tuesday came down on Leader of Opposition and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy accusing him of resorting to ‘goondaism’ due to fear of getting arrested any time in connection with the quid pro quo cases pending against him.

At a press conference before participating in the ‘AP kosam-pillala bhavishyattu kosam, CBN ku andaga vuntamu’ padayatra with students from NTR Bhavan to Sri Krishna statue, he said by calling for ‘gunning down’ of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in public at a meeting held at Nandyal, his real nature was exposed.

Mr. Ganesh Kumar said Mr. Reddy was accused No. 1 in 11 charge sheets and anytime he would be convicted in the corruption cases. He said Mr. Reddy had no right to criticise Mr. Naidu, who had been serving the people and fulfilled his election promises like waiving farm and DWCRA loans despite a deficit budget of ₹16,000 crore.

The TDP leader said Mr. Reddy’s real nature came to the fore when he created a ruckus at the INS Dega airport in January, 2017 a day before the CII Partnership Summit just to send wrong signals to the investors. Despite his attempts, the summit attracted MoUs worth ₹10.5 lakh crore, he stated.

Polavaram project

He said the Chief Minister was very keen on completing the Polavaram project and bringing the Godavari water through gravitation to Visakhapatnam by 2018.

TDP State secretary Mohd. Nazir, district vice-president Pasarla Prasad and Telugu Yuvata district president Vadagala Krishna were present.
