Australian entrepreneurs are keen on investing in areas such as mining, road transport and education. The Australian government has also plans to set up a university or Centre for Excellence in the State. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be singed with the State government soon. Australian Consul General Sean Kelly met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at Secretariat on Tuesday to discuss the investment opportunities in AP and Australia government plans for the AP.
The delegation, led by Mr. Kelly, said that they were ready to work on high resolution geological mapping system for the AP. An MoU in this regard would be signed soon, he said.
Stating that they were already working with the AP government in road traffic management, Mr. Kelly said that a survey of roads would be taken up with the assistance of World Bank.
Proposing a project to improve road traffic management, he said that the AP government investment in the project would be bare minimum.
