The parliament reassembled on Tuesday after a three-day break for the fourth week of Monsoon Session. In the intermediate three days, there was an attack on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, six Tripura MLAs joining BJP and war of words between the Left parties and BJP over political killings in Kerala.
Both Houses of parliament were adjourned barely 30 minutes after they assembled.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh is in parliament. This is his first appearance in the session. He couldn't attend the House previous weeks due to ill-health. He is responding to Mr. Kharge.
The State police was informed about Mr. Gandhi's itenary two days ahead of his visit. Mr. Gandhi is under SPG protection. The State Police made adequate bandobast for the visit. He was even provided with bullet-proof car.
But Mr. Gandhi opted for a non-bullet resistant car as suggested by his personal secretary. He should have taken the advice of security personnel, says Mr. Singh. The SPG personnel asked SPG driver to drive Mr. Gandhi's car. The driver is trained in offensive and defensive attacks. Mr. Gandhi stopped many times to meet people, which were not part of the itenary, Mr. Singh says. Congress members object to it.
When the car was en-route helipad, "a random person" threw stone, says Mr. Singh. Congress MPs shout slogans after this reference. Mr. Singh goes on to say the accused has been arrested and further probe is on.
The incident would have not occurred had Mr. Gandhi used bullet-proof car, says Mr. Singh adding that Mr. Gandhi violated security protocol. We have taken this up with Congress many times. Mr. Gandhi has repeatedly violated security protocols, he says.

Mr. Kharge raises the issue of Congress vice-president's convoy attacked in Gujarat. The government said terrorists are throwing stones in Kashmir. Which terrorist thew stones in Gujarat, he asks. Ruling party members object.
The BJP is asking where were Congress MLAs at the time of floods. Where was the Gujarat Chief Minister? he asks.
Mr. Kharge recalls Gandhiji's speech at the time of Quit India Movement. He says Gandhiji's message was Ahimsa, non-violence. What is the message of this government? You are glorifying Gandhiji's killers, he says. BJP members object.
