At the same time, another party leader said, "One of our MLAs had mistakenly showed his vote in and his vote was rejected, same was done in Gujarat, so it should be rejected."

The has accused that two of its MLAs showed their votes to "unauthorised persons".

These MLAs allegedly showed their votes to (BJP) president and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani.

While talking to the media, leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, "The INC today went to ECI as two legislators Bhola Bhai Gohil and Raghav ji Bhai Patel had shown their votes not to the authorised person but to president Amit Shah, Smriti Irani and to the independent candidate Balwant Singh Rajput. The vote is liable to be rejected as per the verdict of the Supreme Court and under the Section 39 of the Conduct of Election Rules."

He further said that the party has requested the Election Commission to ensure their votes should not be counted and should be rejected, while adding that the ECI has assured that they will examine the entire matter.

However, candidate Ahmed Patel has asserted that his party had filed their concerned with the returning officer but their plea was shunned.

"Complaint was filed immediately but returning officer didn't do anything," said Patel.

However Patel said that despite of all the tactics played against him, he is still confidant of winning.
