GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSKCH) today reported 17.6 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 132.23 crore for the quarter ended on June 30, 2017.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 160.61 crore in the same period last fiscal, GSKCH said in a BSE filing.
Its total income also slipped 1.5 per cent to Rs 1,101.57 crore during the period under review from Rs 1,118.56 crore.
During the June 2017 quarter, the company's revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,045.88 crore as against Rs 1,059.38 crore in the year-ago period.
GSKCH incurred higher expenses during April-June 2017 quarter at Rs 897.08 crore compared to Rs 871.17 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company's shares today closed at Rs 5505.30 apiece, up 1.02 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
