20 year old woman was found dead and at least five people are missing after a boat capsized in swollen Parwan river in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan on Tuesday.

According to the police boat was carrying 16 people, including four boatmen. It capsized near Aklera city in Jhalawar district on Tuesday afternoon, they said. Out of 16 people six swam out of the river whereas five others were rescued by the police. Soon after the incident took place SDRF teams were rushed to the spot and pressed into action. However search teams are still trying to find out the whereabouts of seven other passengers. Those who have been rescued are treated by the doctors in the district hospital.

According to the Jhalawar collector Jitendra Kumar Soni, "The rescue teams have been deployed at different spots to find out the missing persons. SDRF team has found a body of 20 year old woman and are searching for other missing people." As per the Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Anand Sharma said, boat capsized due to strong water currents it faced after it left for Jhalawar from Harnawada in Baran district.
