Recipients of pattas under GO 301 for Gajuwaka Inam lands 26 have alleged that the conditions laid down are detrimental to their interests.

Disallowing transfer (pf patta) for five years, making the patta valid subject to the judgment on writ petition 6639/2003 in the High Court and the condition that houses would be taken back if the government needed them created problems to the patta-holders, CPI(M) State secretariat member Ch Narsinga Rao, who led a dharna at the Collectorate said here on Monday.

The pattas were given away at a function by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu last month.

The patta not being transferable for five years would not allow for taking loans from banks though the sites were purchased from farmers and registered paying stamp duty, participants in the dharna at the Collectorate said.

In the GOs issued in 2008 for regularisation in Inam lands and for “Panchagramalu” in 2000 had no conditions and for regularisation of below 100 square yards the lock-in period was only for two years, they said demanding that the conditions be immediately waived.
