Trooper injured in Pak sniper fire along LoC

In a latest ceasefire violation by Pakistan, an army man was injured along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday.

Sources said the soldier identified as Narendra Singh Bisht was hit by a single sniper fire on head from Pakistan side in Uri sector. He was airlifted to Army's 92 Base Hospital in Badamibagh Srinagar for treatment, where his condition is stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, a paramilitary CRPF trooper was injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in Kupwara district on Monday. A police said constable Khupmang Hang Singh of 98 Battalion received bullet injuries in his left leg after his service rifle went off accidentally while he was cleaning it at Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) Kupwara.
