The historic Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam will remain closed from 12 noon on August 7 (Monday) to 3 a.m. on August 8 (Tuesday) because of lunar eclipse. The temple will be reopened for darshan at 6 a.m. on Tuesday after performing ‘Samprokshana’ and other purification rituals, temple sources said. Sources said the temple has witnessed a marked fall in the number of devotees on Sunday apparently in view of lunar eclipse slated to occur on Monday.
