AIADMK MLA denies demanding bribes from Tasmac staff

Former Minister and Erode West K V Ramalingam has denied charges of state run agency TASMAC employees that he had demanded bribes from them.

The leader, who is the party's Erode district secretary, said he had been receiving a number of complaints that employees of the outlets were selling products at premium rates and had therefore called office-bearers of Erode TASMAC Employees Joint Action Committee to to direct them to sell at fixed rates.


The committee's office-bearers had submitted a to the Erode Superintendent of Police, stating that the had recently called office-bearers of the Tasmac Employees Association and ordered them to pay Rs 21,000 as bribe.
