Prices of moong dal, gram dal and sugar increased, price of sooji (90 kg) decreased while prices of others remained steady in the wholesale foodgrain market here today.

Prices of moong dal and gram dal each was up by Rs.200 per quintal to Rs.6,700 and Rs.7,000 from Rs.6,500 and Rs.6,800 respectively.


On the opening day sugar was marginally up by Rs.20 per quintal to Rs.4,100 from its closing rate of Rs.4,080.

Sooji (90 kg) was less by Rs.200 to Rs.3000 from Rs.3,200.

Prices of thoor dal,urad dal,wheat and maida (90 kg) ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities (rates in rupees per quintal, unless stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 6,500, Urad Dal Rs 7,500, Moong Dal Rs 6,700, Gram Dal Rs 7,000, Sugar Rs 4,100, Wheat Rs 2,600, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
