The EC had sought a report on the remark by the Leader of the Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Mr. Satyanarayana told The Hindu on Saturday. Mr. Venkatesh said that on the EC’s directions, he had served a show-cause notice on Mr. Reddy, asking him for an explanation within 48 hours.
