Rs 3L stolen from scooter

Unidentified persons made away with cash kept in the utility box of a scooter at Shankarpuram on Saturday.

Vijayakumar (35), a resident of BTM layout and an optician, has lodged a plaint with the Shankarapuram police. Vijayakumar withdrew Rs 3 lakh cash from an ATM kiosks around 12 pm and kept it in his scooter’s utility box.

He then went to an eye hospital to place an order for spectacles. After 15 minutes when he returned, he found the cash missing. Miscreants had used a duplicate key to open the utility box.
