Woman's decomposed body found in jute sack in Delhi

A highly decomposed body of an unidentified woman in her late 20s was found in a jute sack here on Sunday morning, the city police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Romil Baaniya said the police found the body in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar area after being informed around 11.35 a.m. on Sunday.

"A highly decomposed body of a lady was found in a jute bag. Face and all parts of the body were severely decomposed," he said.

Baaniya said the doctors have primarily said that the body was about 20 to 25 days old and the woman was estimated to be between 25 to 30 years of age.

The officer said that the body was found in the jute bag on a vacant plot next to a school.

"CCTV footages of the area for the last one month are being scrutinized for finding some clues. Missing persons' profiles are being scrutinized for identification of the body," Baaniya said.
