Four children died in rain-related incidents in Himachal Pradesh where several houses were destroyed and over 100 roads blocked due to landslides as rains wreaked havoc in the state.
A house collapsed in a landslide triggered by cloud burst in Pandra-Bis area of Nirmand in Kullu district and two children were buried alive while other members of the family ran for safety, police said.
The deceased were identified as Diwan (13) and Sunil (9), and their bodies have been recovered from the debris.
A twelve-year-old girl died in lightning in Bhadrakali village in Gagret Tehsil of Una while a nine-year-old boy, identified as Raja drowned in a swollen Khud in Jalgran village in Una district.
At lease eight houses were destroyed while 18 houses developed wide cracks in cloud burst in Suga, Sikaseri and adjoining villages in Jhakri area of Rampur.
The flash floods triggered by cloud burst washed away the link roads and disrupted water supply.

Dehragopipur received 58 mm rains, Guler 52 mm, Kasauli 47 mm, Pandoh 44 mm, Kangra 43 mm, Mehre and Nadaun 39 mm, Dharamshala 37 mm, Palampur 34 mm, Sundernagar 33 mm, Berthin 32 mm, Baijnath 31 mm, Sangrah-30 mm, Ghumarwin 28 mm, Bijahi and Sujanpurtihra 24 mm each, Una and Sarahan 19 mm each.
There was no appreciable change in the minimum temperatures and Saluni with 13.5 degrees Celsius was coldest at night followed by Manali at 14.2 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 15.6 degrees Celsius, Keylong 16.9 degrees Celsius, Dharamshala 17.2 degrees Celsius and Shimla 17.7 degrees Celsius.
