KOCHI: The Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court on Friday adjourned to August 7, hearing on the anticipatory bail petitions filed by film-maker Jean Paul Lal, actor Sreenath Bhasi, and two others in a case registered against them on charges of cheating a young woman actor and making lewd comments about her.
The case was registered on a complaint filed by a woman actor who was part of the movie Honey Bee 2, directed by Mr. Lal. According to the complaint, the accused had made crude remarks about her when she had met them at a hotel on the city outskirts in November last year.
Opposing the bail, the prosecutor argued that the investigation was still on, and if the accused were granted anticipatory bail at this stage, it would affect the investigation.
