Two men have been arrested in connection with Wednesday morning’s murder of a Delhi Jal Board’s Section Officer. Prime accused Amit Rathi (24) is an employee of victim Babu Ram Yadav’s son.
Mr. Rathi and Rahul Bhatia (21) allegedly shot dead Mr. Yadav in his son’s Rohini Sector 19 office, robbed the cash on his person and fled in his car.
All for money
“Mr. Rathi was aware that Mr. Yadav always carried money with him. He tracked his movements for a while and executed the plan on Wednesday,” said DCP (Rohini) Rishi Pal.
The police nabbed the duo with help of technical surveillance and Mr. Rathi’s call records.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections and are looking for the third absconding accused, Jagdeep.
