A day after the AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran announced a set of office-bearers for the party, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Saturday affirmed that no one can destablise the “Amma” government and it would continue to work for fulfilling the mandate given by the people.

Without mentioning names, Mr. Palaniswami said some people were trying to “create trouble” for the government. But they would not succeed in their efforts, he said to the loud cheers of cadre and Ministers.

With most Ministers, several MLAs and senior functionaries attending the centenary celebrations of party founder and former chief minister M.G.Ramachandran, it turned out to be a show of strength for Mr. Palaniswami.

Stressing the importance of unity, Mr. Palanisami said that sacrifice and loyalty to the leadership were utmost important for achieving success and coming up in the career ladder. It applied to each and every member of AIADMK. They should rise up to the occasion so as to carry forward the agenda of the party and fulfill the dream of Amma in accelerating the growth of the State.

The Chief Minister said that the actors, who want to occupy the seat of power at the Fort St. George, would have to first take part in the sufferings and sorrow of people. Both MGR and Jayalalithaa had sacrificed a lot and always took part in the sufferings of people that ultimately made them dear to the masses and as rulers eventually, Mr. Palaniswami noted.

P.Dhanapal, Assembly Speaker; R. Vaithilingam, MP; R.Venkatesan, Secretary, DIPR; and V.Shantha, Perambalur Collector, spoke.
