Mumbai: Doctors treating veteran actor Dilip Kumar have said his condition has improved since Wednesday, when the actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra after his kidney function had stopped.
On Friday, doctors said his urine output had improved, which was a positive sign.
“He continues to be in the Intensive Care Unit and under close observation. His condition has improved slightly since his admission,” said a doctor.
He added that the actor has not been put on dialysis so far.
The hospital’s vice-president, Ajay Kumar Pandey, said Mr. Kumar’s creatinine level continues to be high. “However, his condition is stable,” said Mr. Pandey. He said cardiologist Nitin Ghokale and nephrologist Arun Shah are treating the actor.
The 94-year-old actor has made several visits to the hospital in the last few years.
