The state has more than just the Congress and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and any citizen who is affected by the Government decision can move the court against it, Congress deputy leader in the Assembly T. Jeevan Reddy said launching a scathing attack against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for blaming the opposition parties to cover up the mistakes committed by the TRS government.
Addressing media here on Thursday, he said that the TRS government violates the norms and then blames the Congress party. The adamant attitude of the Chief Minister would unseat him in the coming elections, he said.
Political move
The TRS government had approached the court to stop the dependent employment scheme following the internal bickering in the party trade union wing — Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham (TGBKS). Flaying the state government for not issuing a notification for the revival of the dependent employment scheme after assuming office in 2014, he charged the government with having revived the dependent employment scheme only to gain in the ensuing elections to the trade union of Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Referring to the proposed fast by former MP Ponnam Prabhakar on August 5, demanding that the government keep its promise of sanctioning a government medical college in Karimnagar town, he flayed the government for neglecting Karimnagar district, which had supported the Telangana statehood movement through thick and thin, and instead sanctioning a medical college in his native place Siddipet district. Karimnagar district was more suited for setting up government medical college. as it was having a 500 bed hospital unlike Siddipet which was having only 100 bed hospital.
He flayed ministers Eatala and K. Taraka Rama Rao for not making any efforts to fulfil the promise made by the Chief Minister on sanction of government medical college to Karimnagar town. Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Town Congress president Karra Rajashekhar, former Mayor D Shankar and others were present.
