Public exams will be held on the basis of the question bank

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday inaugurated Samagra, a question bank portal developed by the IT@School in association with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).

The question bank will be developed with the participation of teachers. The portal www.qb.itschool.gov.in will also provide an opportunity to all teachers to become a part of the revaluation process. Public examinations will be held on the basis of the question bank. Questions for the term and annual examinations too can be prepared from the bank.

The portal can produce questions in various languages. Questions prepared by individuals will first be discussed by the school subject group, improved upon, and then uploaded. Such questions will be made available to everyone as per the subject committee’s approval. The names and details of those who upload the questions will be published along with the questions. There is provision to respond to the questions too.

The expert committee will take into consideration the various directions and then prepare the questions from which the question paper for the public examinations will be prepared.

There is a programme in the question bank to generate the question papers as required by schools and the department.

Those who are yet to take membership of the portal should do so at the cluster training on Saturday.

Minister for Education C. Ravindranath, General Education Secretary Usha Titus, Director of Public Instruction K.V. Mohan Kumar, SCERT Director J. Prasad, and IT@School Director K. Anvar Sadath were present on the occasion.
