62 pc schools in India have electricity connections: HRD

Only 62.81 per cent schools in the country have electricity connections, the was informed today.

The national capital along with Chandigarh, and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, and top the list with 100 per cent schools with electricity connection.

has 25 per cent schools with electricity connection while has 28.54 per cent. Others in the list include (37.78), (28.80), (39.27), (33.03) and (29.77).

The Minister quoted the data collected through the Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE).
