MMRC receives bids for power supply contract

Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC), which is implementing the Colaba-Seepz corridor, today said it has received bids from domestic and international players for the traction power supply contract.

The company has received bids from firms like Tata Projects, and among others, MMRC said in a statement issued here.


The entire work has been divided into two contract packages, 11A (traction work) and 11B (power supply) for the purpose of smooth execution of works.

"MMRC opened bids for package 11B pertaining to power supply related work. After completing evaluation of bids we may award the contract by November this year. Latest technology GIS base substations are planned by MMRC as part of this contract," company's Managing Director Ashwini Bhide said.

The 11B package work will consist of detailed design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of power supply works including receiving substations, 110 kV cabling works, traction substations, auxiliary main substations, switching sations, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, and integration with other systems.
