Work on various development works at the Cooperative Industrial Estate in Gadag is going on in full swing and on Thursday, two Ministers reviewed it.
Minister for Large, Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development R.V. Deshpande accompanied by Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj H.K. Patil visited the Cooperative Industrial Estate and sought details on the ongoing work.
Various amenities are being created at the Industrial Estate at a cost of ₹ 12 crore. Under the work, a Permanent Exhibition Centre is being constructed to facilitate regular conduct of industrial exhibition and other industrial promotional activities in the region. Subsequently, the Ministers along with Minister for Social Welfare H. Anjaneya visited the hockey stadium at Gandhinagar in Betageri. The new hockey stadium is being constructed at a cost of ₹ 5 crore to help sporting talents in the region.
A host of senior officials, led by Deputy Commissioner Manoj Jain, Joint Director of District Industries Centre T. Dinesh and others, and president of the Gadag Zilla Panchayat Vasanna Kuradagi and others accompanied the Ministers during the visit. After the officials apprised the Ministers of the progress and the facilities being created, they asked them to ensure quality of work and also that the work were completed in a time-bound manner.
