The much-awaited master plan for the development of Bhadradri temple as a major temple town is ready.

Officials of the departments concerned, including the Roads and Buildings and Endowments, have decided to seek the final approval of the master plan by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Tenders to be called

This would be followed by calling for tenders and the officials are hopeful that the process would commence before this month-end.

Final approval

The decision comes after the master plan was appreciated by China Jeeyar Swamy. Roads and Buildings Minister T. Nageswara Rao accompanied by temple executive officer and architect called on the seer on Tuesday seeking suggestions on modifications/improvements in the final master plan.

According to an official release, the seer expressed satisfaction over the plan and suggested that the first complex of the temple should be built with rocks in line with the Agama sastras while bricks could be used in the construction of other two proposed complexes.

The Minister recalled that the Chief Minister, who went through the plan, wanted the officials concerned to contact China Jeeyar Swamy for his approval. The government would strictly follow the Agama rules in the reconstruction of the temple in line with Yadadri which has turned into a major religious centre in the State.
