Three injured in panther attack

A panther sneaked into a house in Sawai Madhopur district and attacked a woman and her two grandsons, police said today.

The panther entered into the house near school in Khtupura village and attacked Raeesan (50) and her two grandsons Sahil (11) and Faizan (7).


All three injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Sawai Madhopur, SHO Khtupura, Udaiman Singh said.

Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve, Sanjeev Sharma said a team of forest department tranquilised the two-year-old panther and later released him in the forest area.
