Students at a government school in Jeevanabhimanagar, who were rehearsing for the Independence Day programme on Tuesday morning, were taken aback when police entered the premises and confiscated the microphone and loudspeakers they were using.
Jeevanabhimanagar police said that they were ‘compelled’ to do act after receiving complaints from the public. They had issued notices to the school.
“We later went back and returned their microphone and loudspeakers, and asked them to reduce the volume” an officer said.
