CPI(M) to decide future course of action at party executive

The two-day state executive meeting of CPI(M), beginning at on August three will discuss various issues like withdrawal of LPG subsidy and Universal PDS system and decide the future course of action.

Talking to reporters here, CPI(M)secretary G Ramakrishnan said today that the new system of PDS was not acceptable to the party and with this attempt, the Centre and State governments were trying to defeat the very purpose of National Food Security Act.


The announcement on withdrawal of LPG subsidy from next year also was condemnable, he said and sought immediate cancellation of such move.

Stating that the BJP-led at the Centre, with its "anti-people" policies was depriving the rights of poor, he alleged that on the other side it was extending total concession to big corporate companies.

He urged the state to take steps on war footing to prevent the spread of dengue.
