The manager of a city-based boys’ school was sacked after the teachers staged a protest on Monday. The protesting teachers claimed the manager was harrassing them. Their protest was triggered off after the principal of their sister institution resigned following allegations of harrassment levelled by the teachers.
Meanwhile, the management committee of the schools has decided to set up a three-member enquiry committee to look into the “alleged misbehaviour and arbitrary capacity of the principal” in the girls’ school. The committee has also assured the former principal of adequate opportunities before the enquiry committee. It has also decided to provide medical assistance to the teacher who suffered a stroke.
