BJP preparing roadmap to win 2019 polls in Telangana

The in today said it is preparing an action plan with the aim of winning the 2019 Legislative Assembly and elections in the TRS-ruled state.

"The roadmap we are preparing with the aim of winning the 2019 elections; Roadmap (is) on taking forward the party organisation from October, till elections are held in 2019, as per (president) Amit Shah's call," state party president told reporters here.


The roadmap includes taking the policies of the to the voters, fighting against the alleged anti- people policies of the in and reaching out to different sections of the society, he said.

"We are formulating this roadmap with a clear plan for different cells of the party from October," he said.

September would be important as Shah visits the state during the month and also because the party annually takes up a campaign for the state to officially celebrate 'Liberation Day' on September 17, he said.

The erstwhile Hyderabad under Nizam rule merged with Indian Union on September 17, 1948.

The ruling had supported the demand in undivided Andhra Pradesh, but the state is not celebrating the occasion now under pressure from MIM, Laxman alleged.

The would organise polling booth-wise conventions of party workers from October by classifying assembly segments, he said.

The BJP's central leaders have participated in various programmes in in the last couple of months and they have appreciated the party's growing strength in the state, Laxman added.
