A 10-member Anti-sexual harassment committee of Ravenshaw University today recorded the statements of both the victim student and the accused teacher in connection with a sexual harassment case.

An undergraduate woman student of Chemistry department had brought sexual harassment allegations against an assistant professor of the same department following which the Committee was asked to probe and report, university sources said.

Pending inquiry, the teacher was placed under suspension yesterday and he was debarred from entering into the department.

The woman accompanied by her parents deposed before the committee, while the suspended teacher after his oral deposition also submitted a written statement to the Committee.

The committee is also likely to examine some more students in this connection, who have been named as witnesses by the woman.

The committee also indicated that their findings will be submitted in the form of a report to the Vice Chancellor later this week.
