Raj Bhavan staff quarters opened

At a cultural event organised at the newly constructed staff quarters, ‘Samruddhi’ on Sunday, Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh E. S. L. Narasimhan said that the construction had been completed in a record time of less than 11 months. Participating in the ‘Atmeeya Sammelanam'’organised by the staff members of Raj Bhavan, Mr Narasimhan said that he pursued with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and got budget allocated for the residential project. He appreciated the efforts of Mr. Chandrashekar Rao in this initiative to replace old and dilapidated quarters with new ones along with a model school with modern infrastructure.

The Governor said there was a huge demand for admission into the school as it was equipped with digital classrooms.

Vimala Narasimhan, who also spoke on the occasion, recollected the couple’s early days in Delhi where they had lived in a small accommodation for a long time. She said it was planned to construct two-bedroom flats for all staff members of Raj Bhavan so that they could live happily and peacefully with their families. She said all staff and their family members should ensure that the entire Raj Bhavan Quarters premises was kept clean.

Later, the children of staff members entertained the gathering with cultural programmes.
