Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the topics and issues in Prime Minister's Mann ki Baat have been derived out of the lives of the people of

"Mann ki baat has so much importance and if we see each episode, some new topic has been discussed by Prime Minister Modi which has opened up the mind to new possibilities," he said, while addressing the gathering at the launch of a book based on the episodes of 'Mann Ki Baat.'

He further said that 'Mann ki Baat' is a book on Prime Minister Modi's thoughts.

"While reading the book, one can absorb that these thoughts and issues are discussed and hence, more understood which give the subjects more dimension," he said.

He also talked about radio, the forgotten mode of communication and said, "Radio was such an important mode of communication during wars, but now who could have thought that in the 20th century, in 2014, 2015, 2016, we would have people collecting around a radio to hear somebody give a message?

"There may also be so many homes that don't have the benefit of a television set, who still might not have internet, but to be able to reach to these media-dark places in the remotest corners of the country, has almost caused a social revolution," he added.
