Film actor Alladi Tanish will be the 11th person from the Telugu film industry to be questioned by the investigators in the sensational drugs case.
Special Investigation Team of Telangana Prohibition and Excise (P&E) department on Saturday said Tanish would appear before it on Monday. The 27-year-old actor started his career in films as child artiste.
Till now, he has acted in 19 films. Nearly two weeks ago, when the list of Telugu film industry persons with alleged links to drugs usage was aired by some TV channels, his name also figured in it.
Later, speaking to one of the TV channels, he said the particular channel should apologise for taking his name in the case.
The long list
Actually, that SIT didn’t officially announce any names it was going to examine then. Eventually, his name also was found in the list of 12 persons connected to the film industry. Of them, 10 were already examined by SIT sleuths, including director Puri Jagannath, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan and Ravi Teja.
After Tanish, another upcoming actor Nandu is going to be questioned by the investigators. Nandu is husband of playback singer Geeta Madhuri.
On Saturday, the SIT sleuths grilled Srinivasa Rao, who had earlier worked as car driver with film actor Ravi Teja. SIT officials remained tight-lipped about the details of the interrogation. Along with him, two others, Rohith Agarwal and Danish Rajadhan, were also interrogated.
