India vs Sri Lanka: India beat Sri Lanka by 304 runs in 1st Test

India completed a 304-run win over Sri Lanka inside four days in Galle after bowling out the hosts for just 245 in the second innings. Set a target of 550 runs, Sri Lanka never looked like in the chase and ended up short by some distance.

India completed a 304-run win over Sri Lanka inside four days in Galle after bowling out the hosts for just 245 in the second innings. Set a target of 550 runs, Sri Lanka were lifted by half-centuries from Dimuth Karunaratne and Niroshan Dickwella, who also shared a 101-run stand which gave Sri Lanka hope of taking the match into the fifth day but Ashwin and Jadeja shared six wickets amongst themselves to bowl out Sri Lanka and held India win.
