Warm Friday despite rain, Saturday to be hot: IMD

Despite some parts of receiving rains, Friday remained warm with the maximum temperature recorded at 35.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Saturday may see a rise in mercury with the sky remaining cloudy and there being a slight drop in rainfall.

On Friday, experienced 4 mm rainfall at Palam and 0.1 mm at Safdarjung, between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.

The minimum temperature also increased on Friday registering 28.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while humidity oscillated between 79 to 61 per cent.

"Friday saw less or only trace of rain," an official told IANS.

The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 35.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius.
