China-based businessman robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh

A China-based businessman was robbed of his bag containing foreign currency and Rs 2.5 lakh in central Delhi's Karol Bagh, the police said today.

Gye Juoming had come to for some work on July 22 and had to return to on July 24, the police said.


Juoming had taken Rs 2.5 lakh from his friend Yogesh and the latter sent a servant for Juoming's assistance to his hotel.

When Juoming and the servant were boarding a cab, some unidentified men came and allegedly attacked them with rods and fled with the bag.

The victim's friend Yogesh approached the police and a case has been registered.

Police have found a CCTV footage in which the accused have been captured.
