The South East division police, on Thursday, busted an online prostitution racket and arrested a 30-year-old hotel management graduate and his associate, who was operating a website to lure clients.
The accused has been identified as Ravish and Mahesh Karthik, a pimp. The police said Ravish used to work in a city-based hospitality service company. He got in touch with Mahesh Karthik and the duo started a website for escort service. According to the police, the accused would approach gullible, unemployed women and lure them into prostitution.
Bsaed on a tip off, the Bommanahalli police approached the accused posing as clients and nabbed them before rescuing the girls.
The accused have been booked under various sections of IT Act and remanded to judicial custody.
