
Indian cricket team continues to dominate the opening Test at Galle as the visitors reduce hosts Sri Lanka to 154/5 when the day’s play ended on Thursday. After posting 600 in the first innings, India bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami, kept the hosts under check and struck at regular intervals. Sri Lanka resisted with Upul Tharanga-Angelo Mathews stand but Abhinav Mukund’s brilliance in the field brought the visitors back in the game. Fielding at silly point, the left-hander first ran out Tharanga and then took a blinder to send Dickwella back to the hut. India in firm control of the proceedings and would now look to bundle out the hosts in the morning session of the third day.
