KOCHI: Revenue officials on Thursday gave a clean chit to the beleaguered actor Dileep on an allegation that he had encroached on river puramboke along the Periyar at Kunnukara panchayat in Karumalloor village.
In the wake of the allegation, Paravur taluk surveyor Suresh Kumar undertook a three-hour long survey of the land based on revenue documents but failed to find any encroachments.
“We didn’t find encroachment of any puramboke land and the plot had only the exact extent of land as recorded in the documents. No further proceedings will be needed on the issue,” said Paravur tahsildar K.M. Abdul Nasser.
He said the survey was conducted based on a letter received from Karumalloor grama panchayat president G.D. Shiju alleging encroachment of puramboke land and another letter received from an Irrigation Department assistant executive engineer asking to survey the extent of the land on which a retaining wall had been built.
