A first information report was registered against a teacher on Tuesday for beating a 13-year-old boy late last week in south-east Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin. The FIR was registered following a complaint by the teenager’s father.
Petty issue
The parents were puzzled when the boy refused to go to school on Monday and Tuesday. He eventually revealed that he was beaten by the teacher with a stick after he got a fight with two other students over a petty issue. When the teacher was informed, he allegedly thrashed the boy on the school premises. His parents approached the school management. When they refused to take action, the parents approached the police on Tuesday.
