Poland slams EU 'blackmail' over court reforms

Poland's ruling conservatives today slammed as "blackmail" threats by the to halt the country's voting rights in the bloc if it pushed through controversial reforms.

"We won't accept blackmail on the part of officials, especially blackmail that is not based on facts. All the laws prepared by the Polish are in compliance with the constitution and democratic rules," spokesman Rafal Bochenek told the Polish agency PAP.
