A final year engineering student, Seelam Janardhan Reddy (20), allegedly committed suicide by hanging at Mylavaram village in Krishna district on Monday. A native of Velvadam village, the victim was studying in Lakireddy Balreddy Engineering College and was staying in a room at Shivaji Nagar in Mylavaram. The reason for the extreme step was not known. A case under Section 174 CrPc (Suspicious Death) was registered, said Mylavaram SI G. Ramakrishna, who is investigating the case.
