Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as part of serving the traders in the knitwear industry, has opened a new office in Tirupur.
The CII Southern Region, Chairman, Vikram Kirloskar formally inaugurated the office yesterday in the presence of CII Tirupur, District Chairman, K Kandasamy, Vice Chairman, D Venkatesh, a press release said.
Noting that the district considered as the 'Knitwear capital of India', Kirloskar hailed the traders in the region for their contribution in opening the office.
"The inauguration of the office will certainly help in extending CII's reach in the city and also help in providing better services to industry members," he said.
CII, Tamil Nadu, Vice-Chairman, M Ponnuswami urged the industry members to utilise the services of CII.
Tirupur district currently has 110 organisations as CII members, the release added.
